Barrel sleeves flare gently from the elbow, giving the jacket its standout silhouette - structured at the shoulder, with a soft dramatic sweep at the cuff. A column of dark contrast buttons runs from the V-neckline to the hem, doing double duty as both fastening and focal point. The seamed waist pulls in neatly without feeling restrictive, creating a defined shape that holds throughout the day.

Wool-look fabric insulates and holds its structure wear after wear - it sits flat, doesn't pull, and keeps the jacket looking sharp rather than tired. Collarless V-neckline keeps the silhouette clean and works with everything from a crew-neck knit underneath to bare skin. A Saturday afternoon in the city is where this blazer earns its place.

It's got enough structure to look considered but none of the stiffness that makes a blazer feel like a commitment. The barrel sleeves are the conversation starter - they shift the whole proportion of the look in a way that a standard straight-sleeved jacket simply doesn't. Style it the way the model does here: with wide-leg tailored trousers and a belt at the waist to anchor the outfit.

That pairing keeps everything cohesive and lets the jacket's shape do the work. For something more relaxed, layer it over a fine-knit top and straight-leg jeans, or throw it on over a midi dress for a family gathering where you want to look put-together without overthinking it. The collarless neckline means jewellery sits beautifully - hoop earrings, as seen here, are an easy win.

A casual occasion staple that looks far more considered than the effort it takes to put on. boohoo Dames Wool Look Barrel Sleeve Blazer | Taupe | Maat: 44
